Thanks to hosting events such as the Rugby World Cup in 1999, the Wales Rally GB and the FA Cup from 2001 to 2006, Cardiff is known the world over as a major international sporting destination, and there are plenty of top sporting events to look forward to too. The Millennium Stadium will host the Heineken Cup final on 24 May 2008, the England and Wales cricket teams will visit for an Ashes Test Match in 2009 and Olympic athletes will be heading here for football events in 2012. Cardiff Blues Rugby

Cardiff City Football Club

Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey
