Heineken Cup Final

Heineken Cup

The Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, will host the 13th Heineken Cup final on Saturday 24 May, 2008, kick off 5.00pm.
This will be the fifth time that the world's biggest club rugby final will return to the Welsh capital where two of Europe’s best teams will do battle for the title of Champions of Europe.

Cardiff hosted the first two Heineken Cup finals, when French clubs Toulouse and Brive won the coveted trophy, and then when Leicester Tigers triumphed in 2002 and Munster's magic moment in 2006. That 2002 Leicester Tigers against Munster final was played in front of a then tournament record crowd of 74,600 and in 2006 the stadium was full to capacity for Munster's victory over Biarritz Olympique.

Tickets for the Cardiff 2008 Heineken Cup final went on public sale in June 2007 through Ticketmaster and the "club cashback" initiative. The public allocation of 50,000 tickets is now sold out. A limited number of tickets may become available for general sale following the Quarter-Finals to be played on the weekend of 5 / 6 April 2008. See www.ercrugby.com for updates.

The finalist club allocation to be distributed between the two clubs in the final (approx 15,000) will be available from the two clubs after the Semi-finals to be played on the weekend of 26 / 27 April 2008.
