Cardiff, capital of Wales welcomes the 2012 International England v South Africa and the Friends Life t20 Finals Day to the City.
The NatWest One –Day International between England and South Africa is being played at the SWALEC Stadium (www.glamorgancricket.com) on Friday 24th August 2012 at 10.15.
On Saturday 25th August 2012 the prestigious Friends Life t20 Finals Day comes to SWALEC Stadium (www.glamorgancricket.com) in Cardiff for the first time. Similar to previous years, spectators will be able to see 3 games on the same day – 2 semi-finals followed by the final. Starting at 11.00 am.
Getting here
Cardiff, Wales' capital is situated in South Wales, and is easy to reach from anywhere in the UK or overseas. Just two hours away from the centre of London by rail or road and only an hour and a half’s drive away from Heathrow, Cardiff is accessible whether you plan to get here by car, plane, bus or ferry.
Glamorgan Cricket have been in discussion with the major train operators to ensure that additional late night train services will operate upon completion of the Friends Life t20 Final (expected finish of around 9.45pm). Further details will be posted very shortly.

Vale of Glamorgan
The Vale of Glamorgan, just to the west of the city boasts a variety of accommodation, from 5* hotels to cosy B&Bs and farm houses. Home to the beautiful seaside resort of Penarth and the historic town of Cowbridge, the area has good rail links, bus services and an accessible road network.
Newport
Newport is less than 30 minutes by train from Cardiff with trains running every 15-20 minutes to Cardiff Central. (please note that the last train leaving Cardiff for Newport is at 23.20pm). It takes approximately 25 minutes via car on the M4 motorway heading westbound. Buses run every 30 minutes from Newport to Cardiff. No 30 route via the A48 through St Mellons or the X30 for the direct route via the M4.
The Valleys
The A470 heading north means the dramatic landscapes of the Valleys are also within easy reach. Key rail links connect Cardiff to Valleys, with lines running to Merthyr Tydfil, Tredegar, Ebbw Vale and Abergavenny.
Swansea
Swansea is less than 1 hour by train from Cardiff with trains running every 15 minutes from Swansea to Cardiff Central. It takes approximately 50 minutes via car on the M4 motorway heading eastbound.

Bristol
Bristol is less than 1 hour by train from Cardiff with direct trains running every 30 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads (City Centre) and every hour from Bristol Parkway (North). Getting Around
