Cardiff has a lively social scene, which can cater for every taste. With cosy traditional pubs, stylish bars, and funky watering holes, Cardiff has something to please everyone.
Bars
In Cardiff city centre and The Bay, you'll find plenty of places to socialise in with friends. In the city centre, Mill Lane has chic places to enjoy a cocktail in and people-watch. It offers both a relaxing night out as well as a more livelier one at bars such as the new Soda Lounge. Greyfriars road is also home to a range of trendy bars and clubs, and is a stones-throw from three of the big city-centre hotels.
Mimosa Kitchen & Bar in Cardiff Bay has an extensive drinks menu including some of the world's most intriguing wines, a classic cocktail menu and a wide selection of beers and spirits. With a locally sourced menu of modern Welsh classics, it's a great place for drinks and dinner at the start of your evening.

Pubs
Cardiff's pubs range from the traditional, serving real ale to the more modern - brewing it onsite in their own micro-brewery! From spit and sawdust, to funky gastro-pubs, you can find the perfect place for a big night out, or a quiet drink with friends.
Brains, the local brewery supply most of the pubs in Cardiff, and is produced in the city centre. Just look for the Brains tower, south of Central Station. The old brewery building on St Mary Street, has been converted to a modern pub, but still has reminders of its industrial past.
