Experience South America in all its finery at Latin quarter in the Bay.

eat drinkThere’s a fresh new look for this flagship restaurant. The interior takes all of the texture and colour of the southern hemisphere and explodes it from every surface. You’ll find a feast of quirky furniture, comfy booths and beautiful finishes of leather and warm woods. Traditional Latin and contemporary South American meet – and enjoy themselves.

Enjoy views across the bay from your fifties-style chair on the chic piazza (with mini versions for kids) or snap up the cute private dining area tucked away behind a forest of pink trees. It’s just perfect if you want your celebration to be extra special.

You’ll also never be far from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen which spills out in to the dining area. Watch the chefs at work, making the daily batches of salsa and sauces from scratch, hand-frying and seasoning the tortilla chips and preparing your food fresh to order from the seasonal menu.. It will take you right through the day.

Start with well priced light lunch dishes, nibbly tapas dishes and tacos to share. Move on to sizzling fajitas, Brazilian classics and plenty of choice from the char grill. Some of it’s spicy, some of it’s just plain delicious. There’s something for everyone. Kids will love their own menu with a choice of familiar food or more daring dishes from the grown up menu. As always there is free organic baby food available for the tinies.

The bar will come to life after dark with cool samba beats, loungy furniture and late opening. Cocktails rule here, and the Caipirinha is king of them all. Muddled from fresh limes and Las Iguanas’ own cachaça shipped in from Rio, they are best enjoyed overlooking the water. Continue the tour of South America with perfect mojitos, daiquiris and margaritas, and a range of punches.
