Beaujolais Day at Cardiff Castle
Tel: +44 (0)29 2087 1662
Beaujolais Nouveau Day comes to Cardiff Castle as we celebrate the arrival of this new young wine in Wales with a sumptuous dinner, entertainment and of course, the all important wine-tasting.
In Burgundy, every year at midnight on the third Thursday of November, the first bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau are opened in great anticipation. The wine is then transported to the UK as quickly as possible, so that thousands of enthusiasts can be among the first to enjoy it.
Cardiff Castle will be celebrating this great tradition with Beaujolais-tasting in the historic 15th century Undercroft. A four course dinner with French café - style music by accordion player, John Slater, will add to the atmosphere of this special Francophile evening.
7.00pm - Guests arrive for pre-dinner drinks and wine-tasting of Beaujolais
7.30pm -Guests move to the Undercroft for dinner with entertainment
10.30pm - Au revoir
£40 per person
