It’s the 22nd annual Cardiff MAS Carnival “MAGICK : Dr Dee’s World of Wonder” which brings Cardiff City Centre alive with hundreds of flamboyant costumes and carnival creations, masks and headpieces, giant puppets on backpacks and mobile sculptures from Magicians, firey Spirits, shadowy Demons, swashbuckling Adventurers to Welsh Indian Warriors – all dancing dynamically to the funky streetbands through the streets of Cardiff with a finale presentation at The Admiral Big Weekend on City Hall lawn.

The parade leaves from the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay at 11.30am, parading up Bute Street. At 12.30am the parade stops for a half hour “Street Jam” on St Mary’s Street. The carnival then continues along the Hayes, Castle Street and Kingsway reaching its final destination The Admiral Big Weekend on City Hall lawn by 1.30pm.
