St David’s Day Celebrations & Parade
We celebrate our national day, St David’s Day on the 1st March.
Come along and celebrate St David’s Day!
Show your Welsh spirit on Wales’ national day and proudly wear that daffodil or wave your Welsh flag with passion at Cardiff’s official St David’s Day Celebrations.
On Saturday 1st of March there’s St David’s Day Parade through the streets of Cardiff. The Parade will be brimming with colourful carnival dancers, community and youth groups in Welsh traditional costume, Welsh folk musicians and dance groups, dancing dragons and funky street bands. You may even see a few famous Giants of Wales such as Owain Glyndwr, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Gethin Jenkins and Nessa!
Once you have followed the parade to Cardiff Castle, come and enjoy Welsh music, folk dancing, carnival characters and drumming in the Castle grounds.
Other events include a St David’s Day Gala concert at St David’s Hall with Bryn Terfel, St David’s Day Fun at St Fagan’s National History Museum & National Museum Cardiff and other St David’s Day celebrations around the city.
