Spooks and Time Travel - new walking tours a hit in Cardiff

1st October 2010

Have you ever wanted to walk back in time or search out spooky goings on? New guided walks recently launched in Cardiff will be just the thing for you - unless of course, you run scared!

Jim Cowan, of Cardiff History & Hauntings has added two new walks alongside his existing tours after an initial trial proved a huge success. The new walks which reveal some of the city’s best kept secrets, join the already popular Llandaff Ghost Walks that explore the mysteries of Llandaff Cathedral and the ghostly goings on of the surrounding village.

The news walks are proving a big success with both residents and visitors alike. The Civic Centre Walk explores Cardiff’s magnificent Edwardian Civic Centre. Cardiff’s Forgotten Past Walk takes you on a journey through Medieval Cardiff to the modern-day city.

Exploring the streets of the capital from a very different perspective, the walks provide a fascinating insight into city’s history. Discover the location of canals that ferried goods back and forth from the city’s busy port to the city-centre and the ornate passages of the city’s old library, largely unseen by the public.
