Elton John announces two warm up dates
4th November 2010

After a week where he released a new album that entered the charts across the globe in the top ten, a critically acclaimed performance at the Electric Proms with special guests Leon Russell, Plan B and Rumer, Elton John has announced he will play two warm up shows next summer.
Cardiff will see the return of the ‘Rocketman’ and his band on Wednesday 8 June 2011, before they lift off for three very special stadium shows in Shrewsbury, Northampton and Hove.
Tickets for these two new shows will go on public sale on Friday 5 November at 9am.
Elton will return to Cardiff for the first time since his sold out show in 2005 and Glasgow since 2009. This new Glasgow date will mark his eighth appearance in a little over a decade at the SECC, with combined ticket sales in excess of 65,000.
His show will include over two hours of hits from an incredible back catalogue, including such classics as ‘Your Song’, ‘The Bitch is Back’ and ‘Are You Ready For Love’ as well as tracks from his new album.
The critically acclaimed new album with Leon Russell, The Union, entered the UK Top 40 at number 12 and the US Billboard album charts at number 3 and has received rave reviews:
