Sleeperz Hotel Cardiff makes the grade with design programme

A stylish hotel in the heart of the Welsh capital is gearing up for its appearance on an upcoming television programme, which celebrates the best that the industry has to offer – across the world.

The design-led Sleeperz Hotel, which is situated directly adjacent to Central Station in Cardiff has been handpicked to feature in the first of the new series of Welsh national channel, S4C’s 04 Wal: Hotels of the World, hosted by well-known presenters, Aled Samuel and interior designer, Leah Hughes.

Sleeperz – which opened just over a year ago - finds itself in esteemed company as hotels that have already featured in the first series include Raffles in Dubai, the XVA Art Hotel in the United Arab Emirates and Morocco’s Dar Darma.  Sleeperz will hit the screens on Wednesday 31st March at 9.30pm.  It will also feature in the repeat broadcasts on Saturday 3rd April at 1.30pm, and again on Sunday 4th April at 4.30pm, complete with English sub-titles. 

The Sleeperz concept is based around compact hotels in city centre locations adjacent to mainline railway stations, and offering great value for money. Cardiff’s hotel is the first of several others planned across the UK, with Newcastle set to follow. 

The hotel is a modern, highly visible and instantly recognisable building with high specification room designs, each of which feature floor to ceiling windows that afford views across the city and maximise the feeling of space.

Speaking about the hotel’s television debut, Sleeperz Head of Marketing & Sales, Javeed Anwar, said he was delighted that the building’s striking architectural and interior design had appealed to the programme makers.
