Republic upsizes at St David's

Republic, the UK’s leading men’s and women’s multi-brand fashion retailer, has announced that it is to open a brand new store at St David’s, Cardiff.  Proving extremely popular with Cardiff shoppers, the fashion store’s success has led to it upsizing to a new double fronted 12,500 sq ft store.

The new Republic shop, which is due to open at the end of July, will sit along side H&M on the upper level of Grand Arcade in St David’s. The fashion chain will be extending its product line, featuring a larger collection within the store due to the success it experienced within its existing location.

Steven Madeley, Centre Director at St David’s, said: “Republic, along with other great retail brands including Karen Millen, Reiss and the recently opened Hollister, has ensured that St David’s has become Wales’ prime fashion destination.

“Our visitor numbers over the past six months have been exceptionally high, and the fact that Republic is upsizing its store is testament to St David’s success.

“We are already in discussions with several retailers over the existing store which has a prime location within St David’s.” 

Mark Bruce, Republic’s Regional Manager, commented: “We’ve wanted to expand in Cardiff city centre for a long period of time and St David’s is a great opportunity. We have a fantastic, loyal customer base in Wales who we’re looking forward to presenting our exciting new shop fit and store design to.”

 Republic will join Dechmann Shoes who will also be opening this summer at St David’s Grand Arcade.
