Boxing Greats head for Cardiff

Some of the biggest names in boxing, both past and present, will be coming to Cardiff as part of the WBC’s Night of Champions. The three-day festival will kick off with the film premiere of ‘Risen’ at the Cardiff International Arena, depicting the life of boxing great, Merthyr’s Howard Winstone. The festival taking place between 28 and 31 July will culminate with a WBC Night of Champions Gala Awards Dinner.
In what is anticipated to be the largest gathering of boxing champions in history, fans can expect to see, the current WBA Heavyweight Champion, David Hay and the current WBC Heavyweight Champion, Vitali Klitschko. Some of the other boxing greats who have confirmed their attendance, include Mexico’s, Eric Morales, Nigel Benn, Ricky Hatton, Tommy Hearns, Lloyd Honeyghan, Colin Jones, Tim Witherspoon, Leon Spinks, Steve Collins and our very own, Steve Robinson.
On Friday the 30th of June Team GB’s Olympic hopefuls will take on other Olympic contenders from around the world at Cardiff’s International Arena.
All these events will be held at the Cardiff International Arena, and tickets are now on sale.
