Take the kids out for a fiver this summer
23rd July 2010
With predictions earlier this year of a ‘barbecue summer’, there couldn’t be a better time to hop on a Cardiff Bus and treat the kids to the best the city has to offer over the summer holidays.
And to help you on your way, Cardiff Bus has slashed the price of its family day to go ticket.
For a limited period over the summer, the family day to go ticket is available to families of up to five for just £5. This entitles families to unlimited travel around Cardiff and Penarth, which include the fantastic city centre shopping facilities, the leisure facilities at the Bay, and Penarth’s Victorian waterfront.
And for just £7, a family of five can also take in the delights of Barry with its beach, funfair and town centre.
Victoria Rees-Price, Marketing Manager at Cardiff Bus, says, “Lots of families are feeling the financial pinch at the moment, and it can get expensive for a family to entertain the kids all summer long. But Cardiff and the surrounding towns of Barry and Penarth have lots to offer families over the summer holidays, and this competitively-priced ticket will make it easier for families to enjoy themselves in the city.”
Recent reports have shown that many young people are not confident enough to use public transport, but Cardiff Bus are keen to encourage families to use the bus service around the city.
Victoria continues, “The summer is a great time to use the bus to get out and about with the kids and enjoy all that our capital city has to offer. This unbeatable offer will be available throughout the summer holidays, and we hope lots of families will take advantage of the bus service this summer.
