Boxing greats arrive in Cardiff

Some of the biggest names in boxing have started to arrive in Cardiff for the WBC Night of Champions Boxing Festival which takes place in the city between Thursday, 29 and Saturday, 31 July.

In what is anticipated to be the largest gathering of boxing champions in history, fans can expect to see the current WBC Heavyweight Champion, Vitali Klitschko, Nigel Benn, Joe Calzaghe, Roberto Duran, Lloyd Honeyghan, Robin Reid and Colin Jones. These are but a few of the 80 past and present champions expected in the city.

The Champions will be taken on a guided open-top bus tour of the city on Friday morning, followed by an official welcome at the St David’s Hotel and Spa. The boxers will then spend a leisurely afternoon soaking up the atmosphere in Cardiff Bay. For more information on the three-day event and to book tickets click here.
