Daleks top greatest monster in galaxy poll

Cardiff’s popular Doctor Who Up-Close Exhibition is gearing up for a boost in visitors as three Doctor Who characters go head to head in a contest for top sci-fi character. 

Readers of the Sci Fi magazine and website SFX have voted the Daleks as the greatest monster in the galaxy and The Doctor as their favourite hero. The Master tops the poll as favourite villain. (See the Top 10 monsters below)

The contingent from Doctor Who – filmed in Cardiff by the BBC – will be up against a raft of winners in other categories, including favourite anti-hero, boffin, heroine and Vampire.

The overall winner will be announced as favourite SF/Fantasy Figure of All Time on 24 August.

The Doctor Who-Up Close Exhibition has also recently received new props from Series 5 of Doctor Who which stars Matt Smith as the Doctor. See the exclusive photos here.
