St David’s Hosts Garden Party for Little Shoppers

Little shoppers are being invited for an exclusive week of family entertainment at St David's in Cardiff.

The Little Shopper Garden Party will run from Tuesday August 10, until Sunday August 15, from 10am until 4pm each day within the shopping centre. 

The event will provide entertainment for little shoppers with St David’s best family stores, professional entertainers, a dressing-up parade, colouring competitions, goodie bags and shopping discounts.

The garden party will be held in the Atrium of St David’s – outside Pravins and near Boots – with a specially-designed ‘garden picnic’ inspired set, complete with a playhouse, artificial grass, trees, flowerpots, picket fencing and children’s tables and chairs.

· Tuesday 10th: The week will kick off with the team from the Early Learning Centre arriving for fun and games with a spectacular magician at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

· Wednesday 11th: The garden is open for free fun and playtime with a visit from Build A Bear’s Pawlette and Beremy along with some great entertainment too!

· Thursday 12th: Childrenswear retailer JoJo Maman Bébé will host a colouring competition and prizes with performances from the Balloonatics at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

· Friday 13th: Little shoppers can enjoy colouring in and fun activities with Mothercare’s team for those artistic shoppers with the Balloonatics performing at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

· Saturday 14th: Disney will be holding an exciting Playroom Parade with dressing up and fun inspired by the blockbuster Toy Story 3 along with a pig-shaped piñata and the Story Box team will be telling tales at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

· Sunday 15th: The final event will see fun and games from Build A Bear with appearances from Pawlette and Beremy. The Story Box team will be back at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Steven Madeley, centre director of St David’s said: “This summer, St David’s is hosting a programme full of exciting events and the Little Shoppers Garden Party will provide great entertainment for families in the school holidays. We have brought in a specially-designed garden party set, the best entertainers and St David’s family stores to pull out all the stops.

“We have a great range of family stores within St David’s and this will be their chance to come out into the mall to showcase their offering to shoppers as well as keeping little shoppers entertained.
