Capitol Shopping Centre’s 21st Birthday Bonanza

Cardiff’s Capitol Shopping Centre will celebrate its 21st birthday in style next Thursday with a host of entertainment and activities and competitions for all the family to enjoy.

A number of the Capitol’s stores will be offering 21% off all day – these include MAC, Hobbs, Eden Park, Internacionale, Moda in Pelle, Tie Rack and Sassoon Salon.

Half-term fun will include a children’s entertainer (11am-12pm), story telling with Fairy Bluebell (12.30-1.30pm), street and Indian dance performances (2-3pm) and musical entertainment.

Working his magic will be magician, James Piper along with balloon modelling and face painting through the afternoon. 

Shoppers visiting the 3 Store in the centre will be able to enter a competition to win a brand new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S mobile phone and, as an extra birthday gift, parking at the Capitol Shopping Centre will be free on Thursday from midday – 7pm.

Opened in 1990, the Capitol Shopping Centre is an integral part of Cardiff’s vibrant shopping scene, boasting a mix of high end and young fashion.

Speaking about this special birthday, the centre’s manager, Jeff Wilson said:

 “We are delighted to offer this day of entertainment and retail therapy to celebrate 21 years of the Capitol Shopping Centre – a real milestone in the centre’s history.

“We hope that shoppers will pop in and enjoy some of these birthday celebrations with us as part of our thank you to them for years of loyal support.”

Activities will take place on Thursday 27th October from 11am until 7pm.
