8th March 2011

Buddy Holly at the New Theatre, Cardiff

Buddy at the New Theatre, Cardiff

The world’s most successful Rock ‘n’ Roll musical Buddy returns to Cardiff from Monday 21 to Saturday 26 March. Seen by 21 million people worldwide this multi award-winning show is back on tour and ready to rock!

Buddy follows the tragically short life of Buddy Holly from his first recording contract through to his move to New York, concluding with his fatal tour of Midwest America with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. Buddy sings his way from the recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee to Harlem’s Apollo Theatre, culminating in a live rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza at the ‘Winter Dance Party’ finale.

With over a dozen major awards and nominations behind it including an Olivier and a Tony, audiences should expect an evening at the theatre dancing to hits such as Peggy Sue, That’ll Be the Day, Oh Boy, Heartbeat as well as classics La Bamba and Chantilly Lace.

Buddy is the ultimate feel-good musical, having audiences on their feet in every corner of the globe and is now set to once again shake the foundations of the New Theatre.

Buddy is at the New Theatre, Cardiff from Monday 21 – Saturday 26 March.  Tickets are £9 to £31 and can booked via the Box Office on 029 2087 8889 or online* at www.newtheatrecardiff.co.uk.
