Spillers leads record store celebrations

Spillers, the oldest record shop in the world, is celebrating record store day on Saturday (April 16) with customer DJs and live sets throughout the day.
Record store day is also marked by 250 limited edition releases exclusive to independent record stores. For the day, Spillers is taking over the empty shop opposite in Morgan Arcade, where Meilir and Y Niwl will play. In the evening Future of the Left are performing at a special Record Store Day gig in Clwb Ifor Bach.
Spillers was founded in 1894 by Henry Spiller and specialised in the sale of phonographs, wax phonograph cylinders and shellac phonograph discs. Today, you'll find a diverse selection of music of CD and vinyl.
