A gentleman's feast this Father's Day
8th June 2011
Hilton Cardiff has launched its first ever Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea, offering a touch of luxury for fathers, this Father’s Day.
The quirky afternoon tea has been designed by the hotel’s dessert chefs as an indulgent alternative lunch time treat, which includes miniature tasters of a selection of wholesome dishes.
Complete with freshly made cheese scones and a selection of delicately prepared assorted cheese canapés, the dish is also served with a platter of classic finger sandwiches, including egg and cress, smoked salmon, Welsh Cheddar with tomato, smoked ham with a hint of mustard and traditional cucumber.
Served in Hilton Cardiff’s exclusive Metropole Lounge, the alternative afternoon tea also includes miniature home made beef burgers, beautifully cooked steak sandwiches on crispy bread and freshly baked miniature Yorkshire puddings.
The platter is complemented with a choice of teas from across the world, a hearty half pint of Guinness or a splash of whisky. To finish, guests can enjoy a carefully crafted mini Guinness cake and a splash of vodka and lime jelly to tickle the taste buds.
This is the first time that Hilton Cardiff has created and designed an afternoon tea range exclusively for its male guests to enjoy, providing the perfect alternative gift idea this Father’s Day.
The Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea is available at the Metropole Lounge, Hilton Cardiff until 19 June and will be priced at £24.95 per person.
