The Scott Room

As one of the latest additions to the Bespoke Hotels portfolio, The Royal Hotel is set for a major makeover.

Refurbishment of the hotel is currently underway with the new look “Captain Scott” room being the first project on the agenda.

The room was named when on the 13th June 1910, members of the business community of Cardiff entertained Captain Scott, his officers and the scientists of the British Antarctic Expedition, to a dinner in the Hotel, just two days before their departure South.

The room will be completed and ready for the Wedding Fayre at The Royal Hotel taking place on Saturday 29th May. This event is open to all members of the general public and there are a few remaining spaces left for any exhibitors (all enquiries to Leyton Thomas, Meetings and Events Co-ordinator, 02920 550760)

After the Wedding Fayre, re-furbishment of the hotel will continue with all public areas and bedrooms being enhanced. It is anticipated that the transformation of The Royal Hotel along with this commitment to deliver a personal and very unique customer service will place The Royal Hotel among the elite hotels in Cardiff. There are exciting future plans to further develop the hotel facilities including a spa treatment suite and a roof top terrace.
