Leave the M4 at Junction 33. At the roundabout, take the exit onto the A4232 (Grangetown Link Road), signposted Cardiff Bay / Penarth / Barry. Follow the A4232 (Grangetown Link Road) for 10 miles, passing the exit to Penarth and the exit to Techniquest and continuing through the Queen’s Gate (Butetown) Tunnel, towards City Centre / Docks / Inner Harbour. Turn right at the roundabout, 2nd exit, towards Docks / Cardiff Bay / Capital Waterside and follow the road to the traffic lights (Pierhead Street, apartment blocks and water ahead, 1 Caspian Point to your right). At the traffic lights at 1 Caspian Point turn right onto Pierhead Street. Get into the right hand filter lane and turn right at the traffic lights onto Caspian Way. At the mini roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the Waterside Car Park entrance approach. For the Doctor Who Experience, please use Pierhead Street Multi Storey Car Park. Cardiff Waterside Pierhead Street Cardiff Bay CF10 4PH The Doctor Who Experience is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Car Park. Please see directions below. 1. Exit the car park via the pedestrian exit, opposite the rear of the Wales Millennium Centre. Turn left and walk down Bute Street (E Bute Street on Google Maps). You will see another car park area on your left and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales entrance to Hoddinott Hall across the road on your right. 2. At the crossroads/traffic lights, cross Pierhead Street and continue straight on, with the Scott Harbour building on your left and red brick Welsh Government building on your right. Roath Lock should now be visible across Roath Basin. 3. Follow the road, keeping Roath Basin on your left. At the T-junction, turn left onto Harbour Drive. 4. Continue on Harbour Drive, passing the Norwegian Church on your right and crossing the Porth Teigr Outer Lock Crossing (Origami Bridge) onto Heol Porth Teigr. 5. By bus: The number 6 bendy baycar serves Cardiff Bay, as do Cardiff Bus services 7, 8 and 35. The number 6 bendy baycar stops outside the Doctor Who Experience every 10 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes during the evening and weekends. By train: Frequent rail services operate to Cardiff Bay Monday – Saturday with connections at Queen Street Station from the rest of the Valleys and Cardiff local routes network.
