Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair is back in Cardiff
27th September 2011
Curators of ‘Vintage at Goodwood,’ ‘Vintage at the Southbank’ and Britain’s biggest vintage fair, Judy’s set’s a course for Cardiff this Autumn.
The UK’s largest vintage marketplace, Judy’s is hopping the border this Autumn, bringing over 40 stalls of affordable, vintage treasures to Cardiff Student's Union on Saturday 15th October.
Founded in 2005, the formula behind Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair is a simple one; exasperated with overpriced vintage and an identikit highstreet, fair founder Judy set out to create an event of her own; fashion graduate and former Selfridges personal shopper, Judy strived for an event that was equally affordable as it was eclectic; handpicking traders from the four corners of the UK, the event would become a vibrant vintage marketplace that was accessible, easy on the pocket (and featured stock to knock your socks off).
Six years on, the trend remains strong; vintage designs litter the Highstreet, sixties wares and heritage populate Mulberry, Issa and Burberry – even Kate Moss, a woman synonymous with Topshop, sported a wedding dress twenties in theme. With the past ever more present, Judy’s is an alternative to expensive replicas, offering on-trend vintage for the modern wardrobe; shifts and maxis, lace and crochet, winter warmers and stalls of menswear – all affordable, all one-of-a-kind and all waiting to be worn again.
Calling out to vintage fans both new and old, Judy’s are over the moon to be headed to Cardiff. Second ever visit to the city (our debut drawing out almost 1,000 vintage fans), we’ll be gathering our most affordable, on-trend and outright exciting vintage traders to bring you; tees and accessories, Aran knits and polo necks, scarves, skirts and blouses, bags and haberdashery, heaps of menswear and a whole host more. Whether you’re a retro patron or a newcomer to the scene, we promise not to disappoint. The nations’ favourite vintage fair, come kick-off the season with Judy’s.
