This Grade II* listed house and gardens, built by coal owner James Harvey Insole during Cardiff’s boom years, echoed Burges’ work at Cardiff Castle, with a 70ft tower and a Gothic dining room. It was redeveloped in the English Renaissance style between 1905 and 1910.

Now a Community & Education Centre, the Court is open to the public on weekdays. Friends of Insole Court Volunteer Guides welcome visitors and tell the Insole story, Monday – Thursday (2pm - 4pm) Friday (1.00pm - 3.00pm).
