Arriving by air

Cardiff is served by its own international airport with regular direct flights from the U.K. and other European destinations. Located 12 miles west of Cardiff city centre, and just 10 miles from Junction 33 of the M4, Cardiff Airport is easy to access and handles over 2 million passengers a year. Access to/from Cardiff Airport
Checker Cars is the airport’s official taxi operator and offers a 24 hour service. A taxi booking office is located outside the arrivals hall.
The approximate cost of a taxi from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff Central is £26 and Checker Cars operate a fixed fare system which is the same 24 hours a day.

Bus
The Cardiff Bus service X91 operates between Cardiff Central station and Cardiff Airport every two hours during the day seven days a week. The bus journey takes approximately 35 minutes from Cardiff Central to the airport. Find out more about fares and timetables here.
Rail
A rail link connects Rhoose Cardiff International Airport Station to Cardiff Central and Bridgend with onward connections to other destinations on the United Kingdom rail network. Trains run every hour from Monday to Saturday and every two hours on Sundays.
A complimentary shuttle bus service is available for passengers with a valid train ticket, which connects with all trains to carry passengers on the short journey to the airport terminal. Full facilities are available for passengers requiring special assistance.

Cardiff Heliport
Cardiff Heliport is located 2 miles South East of Cardiff City Centre - visit the site of Cardiff Council for further information. The site is operated by Veritair Ltd (t/a British International) on behalf of Cardiff Council.
Other airports
Bristol International Airport is only 1 hour away by car with routes direct from the US as well as flights from within the UK and Europe. From March 2013, Greyhound coach services will provide a direct service to and from Swansea, Cardiff, Newport and Bristol Airport.
Birmingham, Manchester and London Airports are also all easily accessible from Cardiff.
Birmingham, Manchester and London Airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton) are also all easily accessible to Cardiff by high-speed InterCity train or coach.
