The countdown is on…

Since 1973, the Volvo Ocean Race has provided the ultimate test of a team and a human adventure like no other, the 2017-18 edition will take the teams 45,000 nautical miles around the world, across four oceans, touching six continents and 12 landmark host cities.

To celebrate the teams’ arrival, Cardiff Bay will play host to a free, family festival, featuring ocean-themed attractions, local food stalls and live music from 27th May to 10th June.

We have teamed up with partners across the city to bring you the chance of winning an exciting family break during the half term week! Prizes include a tour of the Volvo Ocean Race site, tickets to see the NoFit State Circus performance, Lexicon, entry to Cardiff Castle to learn about Welsh history and the opportunity to embark on the high ropes adventure, Air Trail at Cardiff International White Water. That’s not all, the package also includes a meal at Bayside Brasserie in Mermaid Quay and a two-night stay including breakfast at a Cardiff hotel.  Competition closes 15th April 2018.

T&Cs

  • The Cardiff hotel will include two nights stay with bed and breakfast. The nights of stay will be Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th May.
  • Height and weight restrictions limit the Air Trail activity at Cardiff International White Water to a minimum height of 132cm (but 107cm plus can take part if accompanied by an adult), and a maximum weight of 18 stone.
  • Cardiff Castle opening times are from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
  • No Fit State Circus tickets will be valid on Tuesday 29th May.
  • The contact details provided in your competition entry will be used to notify of any prize won so please ensure this had been submitted correctly.
  • You must obtain appropriate parental/guardian permissions if you are under 18.
  • Volvo Ocean Race Cardiff Stopover reserves the right to withdraw any entrant that it believes is not eligible or has breached rules or regulations.
  • Entries made using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be disqualified.
  • Unless stated otherwise, a competition may only be entered once.
  • Competition entries must be submitted by the closing date and time specified in the competition rules. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  • While there is no charge to submit an entry, mobile data and internet connection charges may apply.
  • Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash value and are non-transferable.
  • If the winner cannot be contacted via means supplied, or are unable to comply with terms and conditions, Volvo Ocean Race Cardiff Stopover reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random.
