Finding your way around Cardiff is as easy as it gets, but these map resources will help too.
Cardiff is a 15 minute city, it only takes around 900 seconds to walk from Ninian Park to Cardiff Central, or from Cardiff Central to the Bay. This makes it really easy for visitors to find their way around but, if you’re having a bit of trouble, here are some handy maps that you can download for free!
If you’d rather have a printed copy in your hand, then make sure you visit our Tourist Information Centre where they have all the material you could need.
Here, you can download our dedicated tourist map, complete with facts, an A-Z and some tips for walking trails and more. Below that we have maps for both the city centre and the Bay, with points of interest and everything else you could need.
To open the map, you need a PDF viewer. The map is in colour, but prints well in black and white too.
Cardiff A-Z Essentials
The A-Z Essentials provides practical tourist information and cultural tips for visitors to the city. We’ve got everything in there, from where to get a taxi to useful Welsh phrases. Download it below and make the most of your trip to Cardiff.
Finding Your Way with Your Smartphone
Of course, you could choose to use the internet to find your way around on a mobile or tablet. If so, then we think the Castle is a great place to focus your map on to explore the City Centre, or try using the Wales Millennium Centre if you’re planning a day out in the Bay.
