Cardiff is known locally and internationally as the City of Arcades due to its seven historic arcades that house a vibrant community of shops, bars, coffee shops and restaurants.
City of Arcades Week celebrates Cardiff by harnessing its iconic arcades to showcase the cityâs unique businesses, vibrant culture, and rich history.
Across the week there will be offers and events at local businesses, an animal themed art trail, historical picture displays along with a host of activities for all the family.
CITY OF ARCADES DAY
First taking place in 2019, City of Arcades Day is back and bigger than ever! On Saturday 29th of October, Cardiff will come alive with events, experiences and offers at local businesses.
NIGHT OF THE ANIMAL WALL
Night of the Animal Wall is city-wide trail for families based on the childrenâs book âNight of the Animal Wallâ by local artist and author Jack Skivens. The story brings to life the characters from Cardiff Castleâs famous animal wall as they go on an adventure in the big city. During City of Arcades Week, there will be illustrations and sculptures hidden around the city and itâs up to you to find them!
