Japanese rock band Esprit D’Air perform their new album Constellations back-to-back on their biggest headline tour yet. Live at Buffalo Bar Cardiff on 6th Feb 2018.
The J-rockers’ critically-acclaimed debut album, Constellations, premiered on TeamRock (Metal Hammer, Classic Rock Magazine), which saw their lead single, ‘Guiding Light’ listed on TeamRock’s best rock songs of 2017.
Since their reformation in 2016, Esprit D’Air has been going strength-to-strength from performing at the UK’s largest Japanese culture festival HYPER JAPAN, to selling out a headline show at O2 Academy2 Islington, and supporting the likes of Canada’s darkwave band The Birthday Massacre.
Support 1: Tokyo Taboo
The duo comprise of singer Dolly Daggerz and guitarist Mike, who are joined by a band for their live shows. Dolly takes inspiration from iconic performers from Heart to David Bowie and Karen O and Mike simply loves a good riff. Tokyo Taboo is a perfect amalgamation of Dolly and Mike’s influences; inspired by Manga, Japanese culture, drag and 80s fashion, they are true performers, with an image that equals the intense vibrancy of what you hear on record.
Support 2: Stereo Juggernaut
Electrorockers Stereo Juggernaut have landed with a high-octane sound from the future. Securing shows and tours with The Birthday Massacre, The Red Paintings, Orgy, Combichrist, Crazy Town, Girugamesh, Aesthetic Perfection, and Mushroomhead, the London-spawned band are mesmerising crowds with their dark & romantic industrial alt-rock & roll. Gritty yet graceful, their live show is full of melancholic menace, with singer Ben Main’s violently schizophrenic vocal style breathing fresh air to a stagnant scene.
