Event Info
Everyone is welcome to start the Christmas season with us at the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay for a special celebration with traditional Norwegian food and festivities. During the day there will be Christmas tree decoration workshops for children and the young at heart*. Later, expect carol-singing and dancing around the Christmas Tree.
From 11am the Church café will be offering Norwegian specialities including freshly-made Norwegian Waffles, Lapskaus (Norwegian beef stew) and Gløgg (Nordic mulled wine).
As the skies darken around 4pm, join us outside to watch the traditional lantern procession, sing carols and countdown to the lighting of the Christmas Tree donated by Vestland Council, Norway. We’ll also be visited by Father Christmas!
*The workshops are suitable for ages 7+. There will be simpler free crafts for accompanying younger children. Tickets are £5pp with all proceeds going to the to the Norwegian Church Cardiff Bay (Charity no 1195926). Advance booking is essential for the workshops as numbers are limited so please book places.
