Ludwig van Beethoven and Béla Bartók: two composers who broke all the rules. Bold, uncompromising and charged with wonder, their string quartets shattered boundaries, inventing sounds that never get any less astonishing – or beautiful. In other words, they’re perfect for the RWCMD’s Resident Quartet the Fibonacci Quartet, four brilliant young musicians who share a passion for the impossible!

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama String Quartet residency programme is supported by the Frost Music Trust and the Colwinston Charitable Trust.

Bartók String Quartet No. 4
Beethoven String Quartet No. 14 in C♯ minor, Op. 131
