EYE Cymru laser, sound and nature come together for the world premiere at Cardiff Castle

As we emerge from the shadow of Covid, EYE Cymru aims to bring people together in a transformational moment of contemplation and connection. Pioneering laser and 3D sound technologies, amplified by Cardiff Castle’s landscape and heritage architecture, combine to create a magical experience to inspire audiences of all ages.

Developed for a post-Covid world deprived of human connections and social gatherings, EYE Cymru will harness the artistry of light and sound with the power of nature to bring a sense of optimism and hope as we emerge from darker times.

Cardiff will play host to its premiere at Cardiff Castle on 14th October 2021 where EYE Cymru will be in residency until 31st October 2021, with live performances on the weekends featuring headline artists, Welsh icon Gruff Rhys, singer and songwriter Nick Mulvey and acclaimed spoken word artist Kae Tempest.

Created in partnership with the Welsh Government and Visit Wales, EYE Cymru is set to become a landmark feature of the UK arts and festival scene. The event is suitable for all ages including under 2 and with Family Admission tickets available, EYE Cymru is a show for the whole family.

Cllr Huw Thomas, Leader of Cardiff Council, Chair of Cardiff Music Board said: “We are delighted to be hosting the world premiere of EdenLAB’s Eye Cymru spectacular in Cardiff Castle and supporting the Welsh Government in its partnership with EdenLAB.
