Halloween in Cardiff is always a devilishly good time – no matter how you prefer to celebrate! Whether you’re looking to go all out in your best fancy dress costume or prefer an understated fine dining experience with a creepy twist, there’s something for everyone!

HALLOWEEN AT CARDIFF CASTLE

Whether you are looking for something to entertain the family this half term or want something spooky to celebrate Halloween, Cardiff Castle is the place to be.

Enjoy the immersive family attraction, ‘Black Tower Tales’ that brings a turbulent period of Welsh history to life, where you will discover the story of Local Welsh hero Llywelyn Bren’s medieval struggle against the oppressive Sherriff of Glamorgan. Black Tour Tales can be purchased at the Ticket Office with a General Admission ticket.

The Underground Cinema returns to the Castle’s atmospheric 15th century Undercroft with a frightfully fantastic line-up of your favourite freaky films. Enjoy some monstrously good family movies including Hocus Pocus, Young Frankenstein and The Goonies. Or an older audience can choose from films like The Lost Boys and Donnie Darko. DISCOVER SOMETHING OUT OF THIS WORLD AT TECHNIQUEST

Take a trip to Techniquest this half-term holiday and enjoy a show in the Science Theatre while you’re there. Spooky spectral science demonstrations will get you in the mood for Halloween, while there’s lots of fun to be had on the new exhibits: launch a rocket, test your strength, burn some calories, try a virtual operation, get blasted by a hurricane and create your own digital fireworks in time for Bonfire Night!

FOOTBALL FIESTA FRIGHT NIGHT

Football Fiesta’s Half Term Camps provide the ideal opportunity for youngsters to have fun and stay active. All taking part in the Fan Park at Football Fiesta the camps run from 9am-3pm and are designed to give children aged 6-11 the opportunity to learn and practice a range of techniques, whilst expressing themselves in a fun, safe and sociable environment.

SPOOKTACULAR FUN AT THE RED DRAGON CENTRE

From fangtastic bowling offers to frightfully good films at ODEON like The Addams Family 2, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained under one roof. Inside you’ll also find plenty of treats to sink your teeth into with a spread of restaurants and cafes to choose from, as well as boo-tiful balloons and seasonal fun to get you in the Halloweens spirit!

EMBRACE THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN WITH THE IVY CARDIFF

The Ivy Cardiff are inviting guests to embrace the spirit of Halloween as they partner with Horse With No Name and Monkey 47 Gin to unveil a delicious new selection of cocktails, inspired by the Deadly Sins. Guests will be able to enjoy a series of limited-edition cocktails, including Wrath, containing a fiery blend of bourbon whiskey and habanero pepper.

ST FAGAN’S ONLINE GHOST TOURS

St Fagans Ghost Tours are back, but with a twist! Join Dark Wales Tours on a virtual Ghost Tour that explores St Fagans National Museum of History from a completely different angle…

Experience a virtual tour with exclusive access to some historic buildings that we haven’t explored after dark before. Immerse yourself in the history of each building as we recount the ghostly tales that have been gathered over the years. GRUESOME BINGO LINGO AT THE DEPOT

All Hallows Eve is notorious as one of our biggest BINGO LINGO’s of the year on Friday 29th October. Customers never let them down with every soul arriving in fancy dress. The venue undergoes a full Halloween decor with horrifying actors hiding in every corner.

Prepare yourself for gruesome on stage antics from our stage demons & host with a menagerie of creepy & amazing prizes to be won! This year an additional Student Special Halloween date has been added for Thursday October 28th!

HALLOWEEN PARTY AT THE PONTCANNA INN

After last year’s Halloween dying a death, the Pontcanna Inn are ready to revive the night with our party, on the 30th of October, from 5pm until 11pm! We will be hosting a silent disco, our staff will be in fancy dress and there will be prizes to be won for our best dressed customers!

GOTHIC FINE DINING AT THE CHAPEL

This Halloween head to the Chapel to enjoy fine dining in the grand restaurant below the chandeliers. The French-gothic building is the perfect background to kick start your spooky weekend.
