The Cardiff Devils return to the ice at the Viola Arena next weekend (August 10th and 11th) for their first of 4 pre-season games at home before their Champions Hockey League campaign gets underway on August 30th. The Saturday game starts at 7 with doors open from 6 while the Sunday game starts at 6 with doors opening at 5.


The first two games of the 2019-20 season for the reigning EIHL Playoff Champions is Hungarian side Fehérvár AV19. The team from Székesfehérvár have won the Hungarian championship 13 times.


The games will be the first in Devils colours for newcomers Blair Riley, Mike McNamee & Masi Marjamaki who have all joined the team this summer.


The following weekend it’s away to Nottingham on the Saturday before welcoming the Nottingham Panthers to Cardiff on the Sunday (August 18th,6 pm) for the first match up against EIHL opposition. The Panthers have hired former Devils player Guillaume Doucet as director of hockey operations adding to the rivalry between the two teams.


The final pre-season test for the Devils is at home to MAC Budapest from Hungary on August 25thwith puck drop at 6 pm and door open at 5 pm.
