As an Independent Arts Charity, The Makers Guild in Wales was set up in 1984 as a maker co-operative and we still retain that ethos today, every day a different maker volunteers their time to help in the gallery, so you can learn about the individually selected, quality craft work at your leisure and meet and talk to the makers


Explore our national and international exhibitions of contemporary craft and applied art. The Makers Guild in Wales Also run Craft workshops where you can learn craft skills and make craft yourself, these workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities.

Located on the “Flourish” at the south end of Lloyd George Avenue opposite Wales Millennium Centre, Craft in the Bay Gallery consists of the refurbished “D” Shed, a Victorian Grade II listed maritime warehouse together with a modern extension.

From the West: leave M4 at Junction 33, follow A4232 to Cardiff Bay From the East: leave M4 at Junction 29; take 3rd Exit off A48; follow signs to Cardiff Bay Car Parking: multi storey car park near Wales Millennium Centre; Mermaid Quay; and the Red Dragon Centre
