What’s SUP?

Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) has taken the UK by storm – and since lockdown there has been a huge spike in popularity! So whether you are an athletics enthusiast or a casual adventure fan, there’s no doubt you would have heard of SUP.

It’s a combination of surfing and canoeing/kayaking, which involves standing on an oversized board and using a canoe-style paddle to move through the water.

SUP is accessible, fun and a social way to enjoy the sea or inland waters. Almost anyone can do it, whatever your age, skill or fitness level – and you get a full body workout.
