Q1. After watching a match, where’s the best place in the city to enjoy drinks with friends and why?
Greg Cunningham, Cardiff City FC & Republic of Ireland:
“I’d probably say either Revs or Be At One. Great atmospheres at both places for a few drinks with friends and family when we’re able to.”
Nick Williams, Cardiff Blues:
“Definitely the Alchemist. There’s a great atmosphere and the drinks are just amazing. It’s really fancy looking too!”
Joey Haddad, Cardiff Devils:
“I’ve always been a fan of Urban Taphouse (aka Tiny Rebel Brewery) and Brew House. Tiny Rebel is pretty chill with a ton of beers on tap. Brew House is more upbeat with live music and lots of street food options close by.”
Joey Martin, Cardiff Devils:
“After a match, I think one of the best places to enjoy some drinks with friends is at Brewhouse. They always have great live music which makes for a very fun atmosphere!”
Chris Cooke, Glamorgan Cricket:
“Pontcanna Inn.Great location near the ground and easy to walk into town after. Friendly staff and a nice beer garden. Good beers on tap and a tasty menu.”
Q2. If you had to take your new player’s out for a meal, where would you book a table and what would you order?
Greg Cunningham, Cardiff City FC & Republic of Ireland:
“Wagamama for their duck gyoza or steak bulgogi; The Ivy for soup to start and a nice fillet steak; or Mowgli for a butter chicken with naan bread!”
Nick Williams, Cardiff Blues:
“Custom House in Penarth. I love the Brasserie style and they have amazing quality, fresh steaks and seafood.”
Joey Haddad, Cardiff Devils:
“This is a tough one as there are so many amazing restaurants in Cardiff. Some of my favourites would be: Cafe Citta (anything), Miller and Cater (16oz. Ribeye), Giovanni’s (Spaghetti Bolognese) and Wahaca (anything).”
Joey Martin, Cardiff Devils:
“I usually like bringing new players to Wahaca in the city centre. It’s a casual place to eat with a nice ambiance, and their large menu contains a lot of variety which provides the customer with several options.”
Chris Cooke, Glamorgan Cricket:
“Sushi Life – Gyoza’s, Salmon sashimi, Red dragon roll and a cold beer.”
Q3. If you and your family were planning to be tourists for the day in Cardiff, what two places would you visit?
Greg Cunningham, Cardiff City FC & Republic of Ireland:
“I’ll give you three! We’d take a tour around the Principality Stadium and then a stroll around Cardiff Castle and Bute Park.”
Nick Williams, Cardiff Blues:
“That’s a tough one with so much on offer in Cardiff and the surrounding area but I would probably say Cardiff Bay. Jump on one of the water taxis at the Barrage for a trip round the Bay and up the Taff past the Principality Stadium and Arms Park then back to the Bay for some food and drinks at one of the many bars and restaurants.”

“Breakfast in town before a tour of Cardiff Castle followed by beers in Cardiff Bay before a Wales Millennium Center tour. Then Giovanni’s in the Bay for Dinner (Spaghetti Bolognese).”

“The two places I would visit in Cardiff for the day would be the Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Bay. On a nice sunny day, the Bay is one of my favourite places to be in Cardiff. You can walk to the barrage with a coffee, or you can sit on a patio and have a meal or a drink beside the water.”

Q4. If you could have a free season ticket to see any other sports team in Cardiff who would it be?
Greg Cunningham, Cardiff City FC & Republic of Ireland:
“It would definitely be for the Cardiff Devils at the Viola Arena in Cardiff Bay. I’ve been to see them before and looking forward to doing so again. Will be making a few purchases in their club shop this time, too!”
Joey Haddad, Cardiff Devils:
“I would have to choose the Bluebirds. Great facility and I have lots of friends who frequent their games as well. ”

“I personally enjoy attending the Cardiff City games. They have a very nice stadium and the passionate fans provide a great atmosphere. It’s a great night out!”
