AN EVENTFUL YEAR: THE TOP EVENTS COMING TO CARDIFF IN 2024
1. Six Nations
Principality Stadium | February & March 2023 – various fixtures
Wales will kick off their 2024 Guinness Six Nations campaign against historic rivals Scotland on Saturday 3rd February at Principality Stadium. Wales continue their Guinness Six Nations 2024 campaign against France on 10th March, and Italy on 16th March.
2. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band

After delivering âthe greatest show on earthâ (Billboard) across Europe this past summer, theyâll make a triumphant return to the continent in 2024 with a just-announced 22-show stadium run. Kicking off on May 5 at Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales

P!NK to make a rapturous return in 2024, kicking-off her spectacular Summer Carnival World Tour at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Due to unprecedented demand from her fans across the UK and Europe, the music icon, announces today (21st November 2023) brand new dates of the spectacular tour that saw her play sold-out shows across last summer, delighting over 1 million of her fans along the way.
4. Tafwyl

5. The Smashing Pumpkins & Weezer

The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer are the latest acts to be added to the bill for what promises to be an incredible summer and follows announcements that will see indie music legends Manic Street Preachers and Suede play two consecutive co-headline shows at the iconic venue on Friday 5 and Saturday July 6.
6. Taylor Swift
Principality Stadium | 18 June 2024
The UK & Europe leg of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour will kick off on 9 May 2024 in Paris and wrap up on 17 August 2024 in London with the Cardiff show scheduled for Tuesday, 18th June.
7. Crowded House

The music of Crowded House has resounded through eras and generations since the band launched out of Melbourne, Australia back in 1985. Beyond selling over 15 million records worldwide and earning 13 ARIA Awards, a MTV VMA, and a BRIT Award, they have generated billions of streams, consistently sold out tours on multiple continents, notched four #1 albums in Australia, and captivated audiences for nearly four decades.
8. Pride
Cardiff Castle | 22 June 2024 â 23 June 2024
Pride Cymru is an LGBT pride festival held annually in Cardiff, Wales on the August bank holiday weekend. It’s aimed at connecting the L.G.B.T.Q.+ community and raising awareness of equality and diversity, whilst being an extravagant celebration of individual sexuality and gender identity. The festivities include cabaret performances, rides, live music, food, and beverages, along with a family area.
9. Foo Fighters

Making good on Dave Grohlâs promise from the stage at Glastonbury â a performance described by The Guardian as “a set that shows Foo Fighters have recaptured their very essence”â Foo Fighters are giving their UK fans ample time to get into physical and emotional shape for six marathon evenings of rock n roll communion confirmed for next year.
10. Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne has blazed a trail of her own since launching her debut album Let Go in 2002 â alongside singles Complicated, Sk8er Boi and Iâm With You. Aged just 17, Lavigne became the youngest female solo artist to hit the Number One slot in the UK album charts, while the three singles earned her the accolade of being only the second act in history to have three top-ten songs from a debut album hit the US Billboard chartâs Mainstream Top 40.
11. Manic Street Preachers & Suede

Manic Street Preachers, also known simply as the Manics, are a Welsh Rock band formed in Blackwood, Caerphilly, in 1986. The band consists of cousins James Dean Bradfield (lead vocals, lead guitar) and Sean Moore (drums, percussion, soundscapes), plus Nicky Wire (bass guitar, lyrics). They form a key part of the 1990s Welsh Cool Cymru cultural movement.

The double BRIT Award winners â who are currently wowing audiences across the UK with their âEverybody Say JLSâ arena tour â will head to the iconic Welsh venue on Sunday July 7.

14. IDLES
Cardiff Castle | 12 July
British rock band IDLES are to bring their world tour to the Welsh capital for one of only four UK summer dates. The multi-award winning five-piece will perform a headline set at Cardiff Castle on Friday July 12.

Just announced! British rock star Noel Gallagherâs High Flying Birds returns to Cardiff Castle on Wednesday 3rd July for a sensational outdoor show!

Tom Grennan is to headline a massive outdoor show at Cardiff Castle. The chart-topping BRIT and Ivor Novello-nominated star will play the iconic venue on Friday July 26.
