School’s out for the Half Term so Visit Cardiff have put together a guide of 11 exciting things to do to enjoy as a family. ALL HALF TERM | FROM £22.80 (1 ADULT & 1 CHILD ) | BOOK IN ADVANCE
Nestled in Llantrisant, just half an hours’ drive from Cardiff City Centre, you’ll find Garth Hall Farm. Meet all of their friendly alpacas over half term. Whether you want to just visit, or take one for a walk, the farm can cater for it all.

MON – FRI | £20 FOR THE WEEK OR £5 PER SESSION | BOOK IN ADVANCE
BFF s a lively and engaging morning club designed for primary school children from Reception to Year 6. This fun-filled program focuses on helping kids become even better friends through interactive activities, games, and discussions. Each session explores a key aspect of friendship, encouraging children to grow in their relational skills while having a fantastic time.
Throughout the week, children will learn that BFFs are builders, includers, kind speakers, and good listeners. The club runs from Monday to Friday, and while kids will benefit most from attending all sessions, even joining for a morning or two will be worthwhile and enjoyable. BFF is a great opportunity for children to have fun, make new friends, and discover how to be a truly great friend to others. Book online here.

ALL HALF TERM | FROM 10.50 PER CHILD | BOOK AT THE TICKET OFFICE
Entertain the family and enjoy the immersive family attraction, ‘Black Tower Tales’ that brings a turbulent period of Welsh history to life, where you will discover the story of Local Welsh hero Llywelyn Bren’s medieval struggle against the oppressive Sherriff of Glamorgan.

ALL HALF TERM | CHILDREN TICKETS FROM £10.90 | BOOK IN ADVANCE
This May half-term, Techniquest has over 100 mind-blowing exhibits to explore, plus exciting shows and workshops on offer every day for the whole family. In the Science Theatre, children can experience Superheroes, a show all about using science to harness real superpowers. Watch our super scientists turn objects invisible, control the elements, and demonstrate the power of flight. Remember, not all heroes wear capes — some wear lab coats!
There’ll be two shows running in the 360° Planetarium: a Star Tour can be enjoyed by your little stargazers, while We Are Aliens — a film exploring the question of extraterrestrial life — is also screening.Finally, Rocket Science is running in the KLA Lab. Suitable for ages 7+, discover how vacuums affect our bodies and whether sound and light can travel through space in this wonderful workshop. St Fagans National Museum of History has been Wales’s most popular heritage attraction for many years. This museum holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Wales because it is a people’s museum, where you can explore history together through people’s everyday lives.
See how people in Wales have lived, worked and spent their leisure time. The re-erected buildings include farmhouses, a row of ironworkers’ cottages, a medieval church, a Victorian school, a chapel and a splendid Workmen’s Institute which you can go inside and explore.
