The Royal Welsh is pleased to host our 20th Anniversary Celebration with a “Party in the Park” at the historic Cardiff Castle. Taking place on Saturday, 12th September 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this special event is a day dedicated to history, music, fun and camaraderie.

Everyone is welcome to join us for what promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family, offering a wide array of activities and entertainment tailored for all ages.

Highlights of the day include our Main Arena, where guests will be treated to performances by the Regimental Band, have the unique opportunity to meet our famous Regimental Goat, and watch thrilling historical re-enactments. For those interested in modern military operations, our Vehicles & Kit area offers a hands-on experience with frontline military equipment, including the chance to climb aboard the mighty Warrior and Ajax armoured vehicles.

We are also ensuring an unforgettable day for our younger guests with dedicated Family Fun activities, featuring bouncy castles, face painting, and tailored children’s entertainment. Meanwhile, adults can explore our Veterans Village, browse our military-affiliated shops, grab a bite from a selection of food trucks and bars, or simply relax in our Family Picnic Area.
