Much of the magic of the food that nourishes us is hidden – often concealed, obscured and overlooked. Yet behind the food we eat are the people, communities, traditions and landscapes that conjure and shape Wales’ food stories.

Across Cymru, a quiet revolution is taking place and Food Sense Wales has been leading and documenting much of this transformation.

Farmers, producers, cooks, shopkeepers, and community groups are all working to produce and share good food that does more than just feed us. They’re producing delicious food with pride – food that’s rooted in our land, language and culture that brings us nourishment and joy.
People are coming together to shape a better food system. They’re working with nature, safeguarding our food heritage and building resilience for generations to come.

This exhibition helps tell the story of the good food movement that’s growing all around us in all parts of Wales – o Fôn i Fynwy. It illustrates the work of local food partnerships; shows the impact of innovative approaches like Welsh Veg in Schools and highlights the collaborative and confident ways in which we’re helping to shape a vision for the future of food in Wales.

A Taste of Resilience is curated by Food Sense Wales, a charitable organisation that aims to influence and impact on how food is produced and consumed in Wales, ensuring that sustainable food, farming and fisheries are at the heart of a just, connected and prosperous food system.
