Million Dollar Quartet

Event Info

Get ready to rock ‘n’ roll as Million Dollar Quartet, the West End and Broadway smash-hit musical, comes to Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, bringing one of the most legendary nights in music history to the stage.

On 4 December 1956, four music icons – Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley – came together by chance at Sun Records in Memphis for an impromptu jam session that would go down in rock ‘n’ roll history. Now, 70 years after that unforgettable night, audiences can celebrate the extraordinary moment that brought these musical legends together and helped shape the future of popular music.

Featuring more than 20 hit songs performed live on stage, including Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, I Walk the Line, Hound Dog and Great Balls of Fire, this electrifying musical captures the energy, excitement and raw talent of four artists at the height of their powers.

Starring stage and screen favourite Darren Day (Hollyoaks, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chicago) as Sam Phillips, the visionary producer behind the sound of rock ‘n’ roll, alongside a sensational cast and live band, Million Dollar Quartet brings this iconic recording session vividly to life.

With rivalries igniting, friendships being tested and musical magic unfolding, this three-time Tony Award-nominated musical is a thrilling celebration of the artists who changed the face of music forever.
