The whole festive season is building up to the big day, when boys and girls wake up and hope that Father Christmas has left them lots of presents. We have good news for those who can’t stand the wait, with some of the best grottoes in south Wales there are plenty of opportunities to catch an early appointment with Santa Claus in Cardiff*. So, get your Christmas lists together and make sure that you’re all very good boys and girls.
*It can sometimes seem like he’s appearing in several locations at the same time… but this is obviously Christmas magic and we don’t question it.

SANTA’S CITY CENTRE GROTTO

Get away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and visit Santa Claus at his grotto on Queen Street. Housed in a traditional wooden chalet, dressed perfectly for the festive season, children can meet Santa and his elves. It is open 7 days a week from 10:30am and a ticket includes a gift from Santa.

Father Christmas will be visiting St Fagans Museum once again this year, and you’re invited to a very special event in their magical grotto in a private area within the Main Building. Father Christmas will read a story before meeting each child individually and they’ll receive a gift.

Join a group visit through a selection of Cardiff Castle’s most spectacular rooms, beautifully decorated for Christmas. In one of these magical locations, Santa will be waiting to greet you. All children will have time to talk to him individually and choose a gift from a selection of quality toys.
SUNDAY LUNCH WITH SANTA

A special visitor will arrive at Future Inn Cardiff Bay this festive season as Father Christmas drops by for a homemade traditional Sunday lunch. He is busy preparing for Christmas Day but will make time for all the good boys and girls.
VISIT FATHER CHRISTMAS

Visit Santa in the Victorian Reading Room, you’ll be amazed by how much Santa knows about your children and he will enthuse them with the spirit of Christmas. Following your visit, each child will be given a small gift and a magic token for a heart (and hand) warming drink in the tearoom.
