All just a stone’s throw away from Cardiff City Centre, Canada Lodge is the perfect escape from the city.

The site at Canada Lodge and Lake is comprised of two separate venues, designed to meet the needs of any group size and any occasion.

Within the Main Lodge, the top floor’s Oak room overlooks the lake and has rustic charm in abundance. Complete with high ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, a built-in bar, fairy lights, and a wraparound terrace, the space is welcoming and warm. Bookings can be made exclusively using the top floor, or can include the lower Lakeside room as well, which is a clean and open space with great versatility. An ample patio extends from the Lakeside room and has a retractable roof to ensure it can be enjoyed  year-round; it is perfect for a pizza party, hog roast, or outdoor reception.

The Main Lodge is a popular wedding venue, but is also a lovely option for corporate away days, birthday parties, and Christmas parties.

Rhodri’s by the Lake is the smaller venue onsite. Brimming with charm, Rhodri’s is a log-cabin style restaurant space, available to hire for smaller weddings, or any corporate or social event up to 60 guests. The room has a built in bar and flexible layout, ensuring that events run easily and seamlessly with the help of our team. A smaller Conservatory is also available for private hire for Afternoon Tea, finger buffets, or seated meals—this space is ideal for baby showers or small family celebrations.

For guests looking for somewhere to stay overnight—either as a guest of an event or as a local planning a relaxing stay-cation—Canada Lodge is a unique and convenient option. Each boasting stunning views across the span of the lake, various accommodation options are available. There are three Guest Cabins onsite that can each sleep four, two Executive Suites that can each sleep three, seven Subterranean Apartments that can each sleep two, and the Nova Scotia apartment on top of the Main Lodge that can also sleep four.
