Cardiff Caravan Park is situated in beautiful parkland close to the heart of the city, and makes an ideal base from which to explore the many and varied attractions in and around Cardiff.
Despite its central location, there’s a truly rural feel to the site, making it easy to forget that the city centre is just a short walk away and the waterfront attractions of Cardiff Bay are within easy reach by road or water bus. There’s no end of great attractions and activities on the doorstep including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Bute Park, National Museum Wales, Cardiff International White Water and one of the UK’s top shopping centres, with plenty more to discover within an hour’s drive. Cycle hire is available on site from Pedal Power, which is a great way to get about and explore the city or head to the Taff Trail.
There are 43 individual grasscrete pitches, each with its own water supply and 16 amp electric hook up points, 40 non-electric pitches and room for 20 caravans as well as tents on soft standing areas. The site has 24 hour CCTV monitoring and two service blocks with power showers and toilets, one of which has specialist family facilities for the disabled and a panic alarm linked to the duty warden. There are laundry facilities and dishwashing areas on site, shops in close vicinity and bars and restaurants in the surrounding area as the city centre is only 1.5km away. The roadway to the Park is well lit at night and there is a family room available (operated by Pedal Power) from 9.30am to 4.00pm seven days a week offering light refreshments. Cardiff Caravan Park is owned and managed by Cardiff Council.

WHERE IS CARDIFF CARAVAN PARK?
By road
Exit Junction 32 M4 and follow A470 City Centre. When you start to see the castle emerging on your right move into the right hand lane. When you drive over the bridge (River Taff) turn right at the first set of lights onto Cathedral Road. At the next set of lights turn right (Sophia Close). Turn left at roundabout and drive straight on past the cricket ground and the Caravan Park is on your left. For Satellite Navigation, please use Glamorgan Cricket Ground post code – CF11 9XR.
Public transport
The caravan park is located just off Cathedral Road which is served by a number of buses. The bus numbers you can use to reach the city centre are 24, 33 and 60 and the buses from the centre are 25, 32 and 62.
