Everyman Theatre is Cardiff’s most lively and ambitious theatre company. Based at Chapter Arts Centre since the 1970’s, where the company still rehearse, perform and hold regular weekly Club Nights for its Members, as well as having a thriving youth theatre. The company recently collaborated with the RSC, on its production of a Midsummer Night’s Dream at Stratford.

As well as their diverse theatrical programme at Chapter, the company are also responsible for the creation of the Cardiff Open Air Theatre Festival which started at Dyffryn Gardens in the early 1980’s. It is now a regular feature of Cardiff’s cultural calendar, where it performs during Summer months of June and July at Sophia Gardens in the City Centre. It is now considered to be one of the largest open air theatre festivals in the UK, attracting audiences of over 14,000 people each year.
