Formerly a Church for Norwegian sailors, the iconic building dates back to the industrial revolution, when Cardiff Docks was the world’s greatest exporter of coal.

Whether you’re meeting friends, going for a walk around Cardiff Bay or taking in one of the many local events, we’re perfectly placed for you to take a well earned break.
Our café has a great selection of home made cakes, sandwiches and snacks to satisfy your hunger and our teas and coffees won’t disappoint!

Did you know that the Norwegian Church hosted Roald Dahl’s baptism?

With its enviable location and distinctive wooden exterior, the Norwegian Church offers an ideal location for small conferences, meetings, corporate hospitality, concerts and wedding receptions. The historic Grieg Room can host a theater style meeting for up to 60 delegates (daytime) 90 delegates (evening), or boardroom / horseshoe style for up to 30 delegates. The Centre can accommodate 80 guests for a formal banquet style wedding reception.

Behind its unique façade the venue is surprisingly flexible with its own integrated projection and sound system, lighting, hearing induction system and staging in addition to free WiFi. It also makes an ideal location for concerts, shows and gigs seating up to 90. Catering and licensed bar on-site too.

The Norwegian Church offers regular music concerts, theatre and a range of events, enjoyed by the Cardiff community and visitors.

You can contact us by phone or email to pre-book tickets for an event (unless otherwise stated).
