Vindico Arena, located in the heart of Cardiff Bay, is a unique, multipurpose venue with 2 ice pads and seating for over 3000 spectators.

The Arena is open for public skating all year round – ice skating isn’t just for Winter!

There are public sessions to cater for anyone and everyone, these include students, silver skaters, toddlers and lastly evening sessions, for those who like to wind down after a busy day in work or school.

Ice skating is the perfect day out for family, friends or even your date where you can enjoy some fun on the ice. Remember, ice is the great equaliser – everyone falls!

From September to March, Vindico Arena is home to Elite League Ice Hockey Team, The Cardiff Devils who have enjoyed winning league and play-off titles over the last 5 seasons. The team typically play at least one home game each week. Ice hockey is a family friendly sport set in a fast paced, exciting and electric atmosphere for anyone who heads down to catch them in action!

As well as being the ice skating hot spot of South Wales, Vindico Arena hosts events from business networks through to conferences and we pride ourselves on providing catering for customers specific needs. With free on-site parking and being within walking distance of bus and train links, it’s the ideal location for your event.

Some past events the Arena has hosted include Welsh Netball, CheerSport Wales and Cage Warriors and Boxing matches. For smaller events, our Main Bar area is the perfect location for wedding & birthday parties, corporate functions, team meetings and conferences.

By Car

Follow the A4232 using AA signs for Cardiff Pointe and International Sports Village.

Parking

There is ample on-site car parking with disabled spaces also available. For SatNav use post code CF11 0JS.

By Bus

The nearest bus stop is Olympian Drive. Cardiff Bus operate the Number 9 service, which departs from Westgate Street in the City Centre and drops off directly outside the arena.

By Train

The nearest train station is Cogan, via the regular Barry Island service from Cardiff Central. On leaving the station cross the main road and after crossing the Pont-y-Werin footbridge, turn right and follow the road around until you see the arena.
