Fiji v Wales: Cardiff Set to be Transformed for a ‘Fiji Home Match’
Friday, 3 July 2026
Cardiff is set to become the home of Fijian rugby on Saturday 4 July as Fiji hosts Wales for the first time in the history of the fixture.
For more than six decades, Fiji has travelled to Wales to play some memorable encounters. This summer, as part of the Nations Championship, Fiji will welcome Wales as the home side at Cardiff City Stadium.
The occasion will be marked by a programme of cultural activities designed to showcase the traditions, heritage and hospitality of Fiji to supporters attending the match.
Supporters making their way to the stadium will be welcomed by traditional Fijian warriors and cultural performers, creating a unique atmosphere ahead of kick-off.
Outside the stadium, the official Fan Zone will feature an authentic Fijian Village, complete with traditional Bures, the iconic thatched houses found throughout the islands.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about Fijian culture and traditions through a range of interactive experiences, including cultural displays, traditional dress, arts and crafts activities, and family entertainment.
A number of Fiji’s leading performers will also travel to Cardiff for the event, including Paradise Rootz, Primanavia and Georgina Ledua, alongside UK-based Fijian DJ Kingsman.
The match forms part of a wider week of Fijian activity in Cardiff, celebrating the strong relationship between Fiji and Wales through sport, culture, business and community engagement.
With international rugby, live entertainment and cultural experiences taking place throughout the day, the event promises to offer supporters a matchday experience unlike any previously seen in Wales.
